I wrote this for an upcoming band I'm putting together. For now, this song is being released under my solo man.bites.dog name until more details get finalized. This represents a melodic post-punkish new wave hybrid idea I've had, and further songs for that project will stylistically follow suit.
lyrics
Too many words
Would go unheard
When no one had the time
All of these signs
Misunderstood
Before she crossed that line
All that she wanted
Was for a way
To cope with how she'd feel
This wildest of girls
With her reckless days
And her problems all too real
Like a savior in my wake
Like a savior in my wake
Like a savior in my wake
Now that Zoe's dead this time
Too many faces
Too many moods
And no one intervened
Too many times
Will end up
Playing out this very scene
Like a savior in my wake
Like a savior in my wake
Like a savior in my wake
Now that Zoe's dead this time
Like a savior in my wake
Like a savior in my wake
Like a savior in my wake
Now that Zoe's dead this time
